It is common for families to break apart over a loved one's belongings. Sometimes, those who are supposed to receive an inheritance may not agree with each other.
A woman told a story about her mother and the things she left behind when she died.
The woman began by sharing how she looked after her mother who had cancer. "My mom was always my closest companion, so it was only natural for me to support her throughout her fight against this sickness," the woman expressed.
But while she consistently supported her mother, her selfish brother and aunts only appeared when they wanted something, typically when they needed their expenses covered.
One of my relatives, when my mom was getting sicker, asked for my mom's help to find a new home. Because my mom had a real estate business. The woman wrote that the boldness was incredible.
Unfortunately, her mother died.
The woman remembered the day when her mom's will was going to be read. Her whole family, including her brother, aunts, and her late mother's lawyer, were all gathered in a room that looked like a scene from a Hallmark movie.
"I was drinking a cup of light tea from a cracked teacup when the lawyer surprised me." My mom had saved around $5 million, and she planned to divide it between my brother and my aunts. After that, she saw the lawyer coming towards her and giving her an envelope.
When she looked inside, the woman found a written address on a piece of paper. She didn't know what was happening.
At first, she thought it might be a place where her mom wanted her to clean out some things. The lawyer chose not to speak. He just told the woman that she was her mother's favorite person.
When she arrived at the location, the woman discovered that her mother had left her a wonderful house. The house across from her was so pretty, it looked like it came out of a fairy tale. Even the woman's most loved flowers were planted in the garden.

"It seems that my mom was aware that my brother and aunts were the ones who spent the most money." But she wanted me to have a place where I could create a future and start a family. The woman kept telling her story, wanting to create new memories in a place that clearly meant a lot to her.
In a new house, there was a letter on the kitchen table. It said that the mom left money to her son and sister, knowing they would spend it quickly. She wanted them to learn the importance of family, which they might realize after using up the inheritance.
"Now, I'm in my new kitchen, enjoying coffee from the coffee maker I always dreamed of, and I understand that my mom's love was never about money." It was in this house, and I knew that this present would mean more to me than anything else.
