HOMEMADE WAFFLE
INGREDIENTS
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 eggs divided
1⅔ cup milk
⅓ cup melted butter or oil
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the waffle iron according to the manufacturer's directions.
2. Place flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
3. Whisk to combine.
4. In a small bowl, mix egg yolks, milk, and butter.
5. Set aside.
6. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites with a mixer on medium high speed until stiff peaks form.*
7. Add egg yolk mixture to flour mixture and stir to combine.
8. Fold in egg whites.
9. Drop by large spoonfuls onto greased waffle iron.
10. Close the lid and cook about 3-5 minutes.
